What does this course cover?

A basic food safety course covering safe food handling practices, hygiene, contamination prevention, temperature control, and legal responsibilities when preparing and serving food. This course covers the following NZQA Unit Standards:

  • US 167: Practise food safety methods in a food business under supervision
  • US 168: Demonstrate knowledge of food contamination hazards, and control methods used in a food establishment
 


Can I join?

Participants must be at least 18 years old, be a NZ Resident or Citizen, possess a solid understanding of English (recommended NCEA Level 2 or IELTS 5.5), and provide valid photo identification.
